The Farah Khan directed Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone starrer, OM SHANTI OM, has been in the news for a while now. Once the shooting started and as more and more details emerged about the project, expectations soared to dizzying heights.

A glamorous evening with the who’s who of the music fraternity saw the launch of the second album of the dynamic Kailesh Kher. Performing for a celebrated audience Kailash Kher entertained music enthusiasts at the launch of ‘Kailasa Jhoomo Re’ in the city on Wednesday. The evening saw an enthralling performance of songs from the new album by band Kailasa, which comprises of Kailash Kher along with Paresh Kamath and Naresh Kamath. The three came together to form Kailasa and the result was for all to see with a pleasant synthesis of Sufi, folk and contemporary music in every album.

The music of Shaad Ali’s Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is zooming the musical charts and the title track is undoubtedly the biggest hit from the album by now. Shankar Mahadevan’s lively rendition of the song makes Amitabh Bachchan go all the more zesty in the film which is quite evident by his sparkling performance in the trailers.

There are only two production houses in the country today that guarantee quality music coming from their stable - Yash Raj Films and Vishesh Films. Both have a certain branding that they have been able to build around over the years and the result is that regardless of the director, cast or crew of the film, the music is always one of the most looked forward to if it bears a Yash Raj or Vishesh Films stamp. Awarapan is no exception, more so since it brings together Bhatts, Emraan Hashmi, Mohit Suri and Pritam again.

After Aishwarya and Abhishek sizzled on the red carpet it was John Abraham and Bipasha Basu who were seen promoting their film ‘Goal’.

Bipasha looked stunningly sexy in her sari while John appeared casuals. Cannes welcomed Indian movies with great enthusiasm and movies like Lage Raho Munnabhai and Guru were honored with a huge audience and immense appreciation. Great going Bollywood!

Dulha Mil Gaya has been making a lot of news but producer Vivek Vaswani mentioned in an interview that he is very upset with the media. Let’s hear his complain:

“I have been away from Mumbai for more than a month now, filming the second and most difficult schedule of my new film Dulha Mil Gaya and while I have been away, I am hearing the most ridiculous stories about the film”.

And what are these stories?

Dulha Mil Gaya is again going to be a star studded $2 million movie with Sushmita Sen, Fardeen Khan, Dilip Kumar and Tanuja in it. But there is one more person who will be great interest to all of us- Brian Lara. The movie plans to team SRK and Brian Lara through a special appearance by the twosome.

Anuj Saxena takes the Producer’s seat and with him will be Insight Producitons’ Vivek Vaswani. The film will be writtena dn directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film will be a romantic comedy. Apart from the two mavericks it will be nice to see the fresh face of the two Kapoor kids in the movie.
