Sources close to the film crew tells, “She is very excited about the prospect of changing her look, more so because she will be playing a double role in the film.” Priyanka in double role…well,well,well hope it is not a disaster as Kajol’s get up was in “Kuch Kuch Katti…” Or what Rani had in “Tara Rum Pum”! But Preity Zinta’s look in ‘Dil Chahta hai’ was cool- what say?

Considered one of the most reliable of the stars Priyanka has signed a unique mega project with UTV. UTV has signed her for a three-film non-exclusive deal that will be for 4 years. The major aspect of this deal will be Priyanka’s involvement in the creative areas of film making- choosing scripts, brainstorming about genres etc. This will determine Priyanka’s strong hold in the film industry. Announcing the deal, Mr. Ram Mirchandani, Senior VP-Creative and Projects, UTV Motion Pictures said, “We are very proud to be associated with Priyanka. Her achievements, in a relatively short span of time, are remarkable. Priyanka is today recognized as one of the most ‘bankable’ stars that we have. Her ability to straddle a variety of roles is reflective of her immense talent. We are very excited about this partnership and look forward to our long-term relationship with Priyanka.”

It is Partner- Salman Khan and Govinda starer, which is apparently inspired from the Hollywood flick Hitch. Though inspired it is yet another hilarious comedy which anyone would want to watch and not to mention it the deadly combo- Salman and Govinda. Here is the first look at eh story:

“Salman Khan plays a ‘Love Guru’ kind of a character who specializes in passing on advices related to love to men. One such person is Govinda who learns the tricks of falling in love and making someone one fall in love from Salman Khan. While Salman is shown to be super stud and super cool, Govinda is a super innocent and simple character.”Wondering what is different? Rahul Bose will give a sweet challenge to the team of Jhoom Barabar Jhoom with his magical comedy Chain Kulli Ki Main Kulli (CK2MK). JBJ will release on the 15th of June and CK2MK releases a week after that. Debutant director Kituu Salooja says a children’s story which revolves around the relation between Rahul Bose and child actor Adil Badshah with cricket as backdrop.

Bose plays the Captain of the Indian Cricket team and an opening batsman. Now comes the never-thought-of element- Adil, who is barely 13, plays the co-opener in the team who helps the team win a 5 match One Day series against Pakistan. Also look out for some magic in the movie. That sounds a full entertainer for kids.

After Farah Khan being termed the lady in this man’s world of Bollywood, she has become a name on everyone’s lip. So ace choreographer Saroj Khan has also decided to enter into Bollywood as a director with her film ‘Sati…a burning desire to love’. The veteran had as such not taken the success of her once assistant Farah Khan’s success as a choreographer very well. Saroj Khan debuted as a director with a Bhojpuri film “Dil Diwana Tohar Gayil”. And who is going to be the lead lady for the film- none other than the reigning queen Priyanka Chopra. Saroj Khan dropped Madhuri for the role saying the she doesn’t deserve the role- wow…what a joke!

London has been mesmerized by Shilpa’s beauty and it will be miserably enchanted by her fragrance too. Shilpa Shetty will be launching her own perfume range called S2 on June 12. The markets targeted are UK and Gulf. Manufacturers Fragrance and Beauty are the team behind this perfume launch. And Shilpa sounds all very happy the way the fragrance has shaped up: “I selected the final fragrance and am very happy with it. The perfume lasts really long and has notes of jasmine and citrus to it”.

He walked away with the hall of fame in Deepa Mehta’s Water and now Deepa is keen to repeat John in her coming films. John is already in Deepa’s ‘Exclusion’ with Amitabh Bachchan which will be shot later this year. Apart from this dream project of Deepa Mehta, she wants John to take an important role in her ambitious project ‘Luna’ which she announced at Cannes. Luna is based on a real life story of an American activist and environmentalist Julia Butterfly Hill, who protested against the felling of trees in the Red Wood forests in the US by climbing a 180 foot Redwood tree. The lady climbed down only after 738 days- from 1997 to 1999. The tree was named Luna. The protest had a huge impact and a resolution was formed in 1999 to protect all trees in the 3 acre buffer zone of the Redwood forest. All that remains to announce is the lady who will play Julia. If luck really shines well on John he’ll get a creative co-star and not someone like Liza Ray. Let’s keep an eye on this film.

IndiaFm, UTV is at its peak with a series of ambitious projects. It has been spreading its international presence by co-producing “the Namesake”. The coming up ventures includes two new projects with Will Smith and M. Night Shyamalan. As for Indian movies, UTV has this massive plan to dub the 2006 hit Rang De Basanti in English.

The movie will be re-launched worldwide in its new avatar. The international version will be crisply edited and will be a 2.10 hours movie. Any guess what will the title? Well it is –“Colour Of Sacrifice”.

What do u think of the two pictures? Like Fathers like sons? Well, it was planned to look similar. While Shaad Ali was preparing for a scene featuring Bobby Deol and Abhishek Bachchan, someone came up with this idea of using the similar kind of a scooter that was used in Sholay for dads Dhamendra and Amitabh in the song ‘Yeh Dosti’. The idea was appreciated and also executed. And here’s the result…But don’t you think the chemistry is missing. Well…I think so. Bobby is all sweet and sound about the film and the scene, “I think Abhishek was a bit scared because I was riding the bike. I am not a person who would ride a bike, so I guess he felt that his life was in danger. I am looking forward to Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. The music has already created a sensation. Working with Abhishek and other member from the cast and crew was mind-blowing.” Let us see how well they jell together. Will they ever be remembered as Jay and Veru were?
